research

It is imperative to understand how underfunded childhood cancer is. Unfortunately, the government only allocates 4% of the cancer research budget to children leaving them vastly with no options other than those that have been around for 20+ years, used on adults, and are highly toxic. Pharmaceutical companies still consider childhood cancer “rare” so for them to throw millions of dollars in to creating drugs to save our children is wasted time and MONEY. Because we are nearly alone in this fight, it is up to the hundreds of parents, children, advocates, and non-profits such as The Kylie Rowand Foundation to tirelessly work and fight to raise funds for research.
